On the morning of May 13 2011 Sierra Leone local time, handing-over ceremony was held on project site for China-aid Sierra Leone hospital project. More than 50 people were present at the ceremony, who were Mr. Kuang Weilin, Ambassador of P.R.China to the Republic of Sierra Leone, Ms. Jusu, Acting Foreign Minister of Sierra Leone, Ms. Bangura, Health Minister of Sierra Leone, some diplomats of Chinese embassy to Sierra Leone, officials from Foreign Ministry and Health Ministry of Sierra Leone, staff of construction technical team and Sierra Leonean journalists.

 

On behalf of their respective governments, Chinese Ambassador Mr. Kuang Weilin and Acting Foreign Minister of Sierra Leone Ms. Jusu signed the Handing-Over Certificates.

 

Chinese Ambassador Mr. Kuang Weilin expressed at the ceremony that completion of this hospital made positive contribution to the friendship between China and Sierra Leone. He said China will continue to provide assistance and carry out cooperation in various fields to promote friendship between China and Sierra Leone to a greater height. He also praised ACEG for completing construction on time with high quality. On behalf of Sierra Leonean government and people, Ms. Jusu expressed gratitude for the assistance provided for a long time by Chinese government and people. She also highly praised ACEG for surmounting numerous difficulties and completing the project with high quality.

 

During the construction period, under the correct leadership and with great support of Embassy of P.R.China in the Republic of Sierra Leone and Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Embassy of P.R.China in the Republic of Sierra Leone, construction technical team carried forward the spirit of “especially hard-working and enterprising” and completed construction on time with high quality by overcoming difficulties and hard-working, making new contributions to the friendship between China and Sierra Leone.
