December 1/ Hefei / Media reports said,Yinjiangjihuai – Fanhua Avenue Bridge Project, contracted and being built by ACEG Road and Bridge Construction Engineering Company Limited - one of ACEG’s subsidiaries, professional contractor of road and bridge engineering and construction, ushered in a new breakthrough and formally entered the erection phase of steel box girder using incremental launching tech.
Yinjiangjihuai – Fanhua Avenue Bridge Project ranks the first in Anhui province as a steel truss, double decked, road rail arch bridge in jumbo size, it locates in Hefei – the capital city of eastern China’s Anhui province, with a total length of 1.577 kilometers and the biggest single span of 153 meters, the rails are located in the middle of the bridge, while the road lanes are on the both sides of the rail lines. The bridge will effectively promote the social and economic development in this region after completion.
Incremental launching tech with walking jacks were used to position the huge gantries - the steel box girders are lifted to the brackets and welded into one piece and then pushed horizontally across the viaduct and then the lifting and welding of other sections of the steel box girders at both ends put into effect. All parts and element units were pre-made in the factory yard and delivered to the worksite before the erection. The first four segments were hoisted onto the brackets and assembled as a whole, a 20-meter steel guiding beam was installed and the fifth segment was hoisted and welded in place after being pushed forward for a certain distance with two 300 t truck cranes.
No noise and dust pollution arisen in the process of the erection and high precision of the linear control has been achieved, no impact on the life of surrounding residents and road traffic.
The success of the erection of the steel box girder with incremental launching tech shows a sign that the steel structure construction of the road rail combined bridge project has stepped in the quick procedure and laid a good foundation for the subsequent steel box girders erection operations.
