On Oct 31, the Joint Venture between Anhui Construction Engineering Group and Beijing Urban Construction Group (BUCG) - a leading enterprise in the construction industry in Beijing, won the general contract for the construction of Hefei Xinqiao International Airport’s Terminal Two (T2) Project with flying colors, despite the participation of a number of well-known contractors, the contract value is approximately RMB 3.89 Billion Yuan.


 

Project Terminal Two (T2) of Hefei Xinqiao International Airport has the characteristics of large construction volumes, great influences, strong symbols and high standard requirements. The targets for the Project is set to win the awards of “China Luban Award”, the “Gold Award of China Steel Structure”, the “China Installation Quality Award” and the Award of “National Construction Project Construction Safety Production Standardization Worksite”, etc. These are of great significance to the improvement of ACEG’s construction performances of large airport terminals and its good brand image as well.

It is reported that the total construction area of the project is about 369,800 square meters, the contract period is 1,097 calendar days. The architectural type of the structure for the terminal is called “Double-harbor + Double-L”. The main building is about 400 meters long and 180 meters wide and 43 meters high with one basement and four floors above the ground. Reinforced concrete frame structure for the main building and long-span steel structure system for the roof. After completion of the project, Hefei Xinqiao International Airport is expected to meet the annual passenger throughput of 40 million person-times in 2030, and it will provide a solid support for the construction of “Anhui on the wings” and the improvement of the comprehensive functions of Hefei as a regional aviation hub.
