Karbala Iraq, on January 25, 2023, the main structure of first single building of Demonstration School in Iraq was completed during Chinese Spring Festival holiday, laying solid foundation for subsequent construction.

As part of China-aid 1,000 schools in Iraq, the 12 demonstration schools undertaken by ACEG is located in Karbala city in southwest Iraq, about 90 kilometers away from Baghdad. It is ACEG’s first project since it returned to Iraq after 40 years.

Mr. Bian Yang, Assistant to General Manager of ACEG Overseas Business Department, General Manager of ACEG Algerian Branch came to witness the moment. He fully affirmed the achievements in the past year and sent Spring Festival greetings to the project staff. Meanwhile, he put forward requirements: firstly, we should further optimize project management and speed up the construction to ensure completion on time; secondly, we should strengthen the cultivation of young staff through project implementation; Thirdly, we should step up efforts to explore the Iraqi market and achieve high-quality and sustainable development in Iraq.
